This update focuses on two things users care about most when they first open Ask Sona: trust and speed. We strengthened privacy defaults in AI request handling and made sign-in feel much more direct, so people can get to their work with less hesitation and fewer clicks.
Zero-data-retention defaults for AI calls
We now pass zero-data-retention provider options in key OpenRouter chat and AI client flows. In practice, this means privacy-friendly behavior is baked into the system defaults rather than requiring extra setup.
For users, this is a meaningful confidence boost: they can explore ideas and sensitive context with more peace of mind, knowing the platform is proactively designed around stronger data-handling boundaries.
Simpler, clearer login flow
We removed unnecessary login steps and consolidated authentication handling into a cleaner flow while keeping both password and magic-link options available.
For users, the impact is immediate: less friction when returning to Ask Sona, fewer confusing transitions, and a faster path from "I need to log in" to "I'm back in my project."
Other improvements
We also cleaned up related authentication state handling to reduce edge-case friction during sign-in and make the experience more stable across common browser/session states.
